The anticipated top lot at Hake’s' November 18-19 sale is a Marvel X-Men #1 comic book published in September 1963 that contains the origin story and first appearance of the X-Men as well as Magneto.
The Silver Age Marvel comic pairs a Stan Lee story with Jack Kirby’s cover and interior art and comes with an estimate of $100,000-$200,000.

- an Amazing Spider-Man #1, released in March 1963 featuring the first appearance of J Jonah Jameson and The Chameleon, a Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Steve Ditko (cover art) collaboration that retells the origin story of Spider-Man (estimate: $20,000-$35,000)
