Frankenstein lives! In honor of the record-breaking sale this week of a first edition of Mary Shelley’s gothic novel, as well as the recent opening of Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein in Bath, England, it seems like the right time for a briefing on Shelley and the origin of her masterpiece. Thankfully, the Rosenbach Library & Museum posted one not too long ago, and it’s very enjoyable.
